This morning in Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Dia Juanma talked about his future plans. He explained he expected to fight the winner of Luevano/Concepcion but they are going to have a rematch. He doesn't want to fight at 122lbs anymore but he will do one more because of two reasons: 1. Caballero have been talking too much ****. 2. The fans want to see that fight. Juanma further explains he doesn't like the fight because he wont be making the money he is supposed to be making but since Caballero has been talking all that crap and wants to be like Juanma, he will give him the chance. Caballero has never fought in a PPV. Juanma told his manager to make that fight happen. In the other side, Roger Mtagwa, Juanma's next opponent hasn't fought under 124lbs since year 2000. So, the fight will be at 122lbs, but should be a nice chance to se how Juanma measures against a guy that is used to fight at a heavier weight class. Oh man, I can't wait to see Juanma vs. Caballero. January 23, 2010.
Will be a good fight to look foward for in '10. If JuanMa want's bigger money the Caballero fight will defo be the doorway. If he get's past Cab, He could call more shot's in/or around his weight class.
it will probably be on hbo instead of pay per view Arum also said that he wants gamboa to fight concepcion on that same card on january 23 i hope it happens
that could make a hell of a card. But it looks like Concepcion is headed to a rematch with Luevano. May be they can get another match for Gamboa and have three excellent fights.
Lopez-Caballero needs to happen & SOON! Caballero will soon not be able to make 122lbs. He was sheduled to move up to Feather not so long ago so the clock is ticking!
Thats not even an issue!!! Juanma was schedule to go up too. But Juanma decided to knock him out before moving up. Juanma will start fightng at 126 next year, and he plans to fight at 130 also before finishing his career.
