John got hurt bad at the end of his second scrap with Juarez, got to think if Juanma doesn't fade down the stretch like he did against Mtagwa he could probably stop John. But early it would be John because Lopez has not fought a boxer like John. Luevano had success early on boxing and John is twice the boxer he is. But Lopez has great boxing skills as well that seem to improve every fight. A lot of caveats to this fight but if I had to pick one guy its Juanma because John may be getting long in the tooth and looking for the big paydays before he goes.
I question Chris John's chin. If Juanma keeps up the usual workrate and his usual power, it would be too much for Chris John. Juanma by UD.
I give Gamboa a better chance to be honest but would favour Juanma to break John eventually unless John fights ultra defensively where he might sneak a decision.
Chris John wins this. His chin is good and I see him outboxing Lopez for the majority of the fight and surviving a late onslaught. Although Lopez stamina isn't that good so John could possibly stop Lopez late.
Tough fight to call. I think JuanMa is actually a boxer puncher who likes to take his time and wear you down with his combos to set up the kill with his money shot, which is the right hook. He likes to take his time and doesn't like to be pressured and his chin isn't the best. I give JuanMa more chances vs John than Gamboa, since I don;t think JuanMa likes to fight at Gamboa's fast pace nor is he a guy that likes to get into exchanges. John may be winnable for JuanMa via a close decision or a late stoppage.
