Salido is a come forward fighter nothing more nothing less.
Juanma is a fast southpaw far slicker than Salido.
Juanma has two good power hands and lacks a sturdy jab.

Lopez handed two victories and possibly ruined his career by making the same mistake over and over... a southpaw moving to his left walking into the trajectory of salidos right hand and left hook.
Stylistically you could not invent a better situation for Salido to flourish.
Salido doesnt even look up just comes forward and throws punches.

Nearly every instance juanma moved to his right he landed and was able to make Salido miss.

Add in Juanmas lack of a jab and head movement and moving the wrong way spells disaster and that is exactly what happened.

The blueprint is out to beat juanma - make him go to his left.

Salido - May be overblown because this win was easy not based on how good he is but by Juanma making the same critical mistake repeatedly.

Expect Salido to have trouble vs Mikey Garcia because he wont have a fighter walking into his punches.

With that said Salido is solid and has heart and power but
the styles of the pressure fighter and the risky southpaw moving opposite with no jab will nearly always end this way.

Juanma really is the better fighter ( not against each other) if they fought 100 different boxers each, Juanma would have more wins.

I agree with your overall premise but I can't agree with your first statement. Salido isn't just a "come-forward" fighter, he's a fighter with great coordination on the inside, an accurate overhand right, and varied combinations. He's fundamentally sound, and can box as well as fight.

Your observations about Lopez's mistakes are right on. When Lopez had success, it was when he skipped around to the center of the ring and shifted towards his right, throwing straight shots down the middle through Salido's guard.

Lopez was always over rated. I have been saying it for a while. He is one of the worst defensive fighters I have ever seen.

As far as styles make fights, I agree overall but this was a case of a guy getting beat by a better fighter.
