what Robert told mikey was that you would have to be an idiot to keep fighting when a headbut caused your nose to break and if they stop the fight you will win on the cards. he then told him to not worry about idiots on the esb forums who will berate him for electing not to continue as the logical people with iq's over 100 will agree with his decision to take the guaranteed win.
Know I'm gonna get alotta brick bats for this. Think Juanma's gonna bounce back and surprise those that have written-him-off. Styles make fights. Even though he's straight-up 'n admires his work (begging to get clocked), he's got good hand speed, tight combos, 'n can crack. He'll win some of the exchanges, 'n Garcia's chin isn't concrete. Garcia's a well-rounded, but predictable technician, not the junkyard dog--reining punches from impossible angles--that destroy Juanma.
JuanMa has a shot early, if it goes into the later rounds he is getting stopped (or losing a decision). Although it is hard to say if the weight is going to affect Garcia. Still Garcia punches hard and JuanMa's chin isn't great. He struggled to get past Mtagwa. I will concede JuanMa is getting underrated in this fight, he shouldn't be a 6:1 underdog. Anyone with his power and experience shouldn't be written off against anybody.
My heart says lopez, my mind says mikey. I feel garcia is gonna win but juanma can pull it off and garcua still a ***** for missing the weight
I'm not high on Garcia's defense, but it's better than JuanMa's. JuanMa's defense is fundamentally flawed. With that said, Garcia can be hit. I expect this to be a competitive fight, but Garcia should take it. Don't be surprised if this is a war though.
Couldn't have said it any better. I agree 100% with this analysis. This might be a candidate for fight of the year in my opinion. What do you think, jg? It just seems to have the stylistic make up.
The problem with Juan Ma is that he's so susceptible to left hooks. If you remember, Marquez was landing them at will. I don't think Garcia is as refined as Marquez, and he may take a hook to land a hook, but I'd say the left hook should be the difference. I'm excited about this fight.
Can't wait for it to start. Keep checkin' my watch. Also lookin' forward ta seeing Terrance Crawford (from no-place Nebraska) in the semi-windup ta be sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me that a last-minute sub in an eight-rounder is the equal of the best Jr. welters, even though he's only a lightweight.
