After many taunting's by Caballero the Juan Ma camp has finally answered. They stated that they are willing to hear Caballero's offer and that Juan Ma should be making close to a million dollars for his next high profile match. Team Juan Ma also said that a network must be interested in the fight. They said for Team Caballero to contact Top Rank and present them an offer.

Do you guys think team Juan Ma is pricing themselves out by asking for 1 Million?

I don't see that fight generation half of that let alone to pay one fighters purse that much.

    What do you guys think?

Well I'm not disputing the fight and it's importance to that weight class or whether he earned it or not.

Do you think that the fight will garner enough interest for Juan Ma to get a $1 Million purse?

Remember that is just Juan Ma's demand nothing has been said about Caballero purse or anything else.

Does anyone know how much Juan Ma made fighting Penalosa?

JuanMa may deserve it . . . question is is it feasible? Can any network or promoter produce that kind of money for him at this point?

Probably not. Just take a clue from more established fighters like Rafa and Vasquez . . . are they receiving 1 million? :D

Vasquez made 750K for his fight against Rafa, who make 425K

I think JuanMa recognizes that this is a high risk / low reward type of fight, and 1 million is what it would take to make it worthwhile

See what I'm saying? Therefore it's not feasible.

Cabellero has not impressed me one bit. He's just lanky. I think JuanMa smashes him if they ever fight. This is not a step up in my opinion. Cabellero got a gift in his last fight. Lopez is too accurate and powerful for this guy. I see about a 5th round stoppage.

Who does JuanMa think he is to command so much money. He hasn't fought anyone and he is talking to a champ like the champ owes him something. **** JuanMa, he is a Puerto Rican Pavlik.

How can the #10 pound for pound fighter in the world (Caballero according to Ring Magazine) versus an undefeated star with an entire nation behind him and who is on the cusp of superstardom, not be worth One Million dollars or more?
