Antonio Tarver made a million for the Dawson rematch! Doesn't seem fair does it?

It is a dangerous fight, yeah JuanMa or his people are pricing himself out of it, no matter what you think of him and his (lack of) style, Cabellero has accomplished a lot he is willing to take the fight.

JuanMa is still getting better so I think it is a good idea for him to fight Mtagwa and other fighters he can gain experience against. Plus he can build up his name recognition as long as they are on TV.

Of course, the gusto move would be to simply fight and beat Caballero for less money and put yourself in a position to command more money in the future, but not everyone can be that fearless, understandably so. And I think he shouldn't be, as he is getting better, Juanma I mean, and Cabellero is one awkward SOB to fight.

Juanma hasn't done enough to demand 1 million just yet. I want to see him fight Caballerro but it won't happen with those type of demands.

American boxers that have done less than Marquez or Vazquez are making more money. I bet if they were americans they would make at least 2 or 3 millions per fight......... The heavyweight UFC fighter that won last Saturday made 3 millions!!!!!! Can you believe that ****??????

He is probably taking home about $300, 000 though. ;)

back on topic, Marquez has done nothing to demand big money and he is obviously ducking Caballero because he is scared.

you just stated it. if the total purses of izzy and rafa the two biggest names in the division was 1.1 m what makes juanma believe that he is worth 1.5m?

He would be worth it after he defeats Caballero for sure... but right now? a bit too early and not enough high profile names under his belt. He can surely smash Caballero, I have no doubts.

If he was as confident as you are he would have taken this chance to take a step up and become a man in the division.

I agree he should take on Caballero. He doesn't like the idea of the organizations taking 3% of his income. With 3 belts at risks, that is a lot of money. But Caballero said with his big mouth that he will pay it for Juanma. OF course, we don't really know if he means it.

Exactly what I was thinking. It's the one fight I want to see at his weight before moving up.

Juanma-Caballero fight would be really a good test for JML, but for 1mil? He could have ithe 1,$$$,$$$ but not on this fight. He has to win convincingly with this fight and go at higher weights to have better marketability, then he could have his 1mil or even ppv
