We all watched Juanma Lopez developed. Great power and exciting fighter. But we also saw how he kept making the same mistake fight after fight. He was never corrected.
Now he is trying to comeback to the top and once again his team is trying to end his career. Two days ago they announced Juanma will be fighting Mickey Garcia in Texas in June 15. Not time for proper training and not time for good promotion. Juanma doesn't even have a physical trainer yet. He is trying to get Ariza to work with him. I don't think Ariza is going to work with him with so little time. This could be Juanma last fight. IF he losses his market value will go to hell and his motivation will be gone.

I have never seen Juanma as a superstar. But he could do better with better management.

    100% agree.
He's just selling his name on his farewell fight. I don't see him making 126 lbs in a lit more than 4 weeks.

uncle bob shouldve made the juanma-gamboa fight sooner. a concrete example of waiting for a fight to get bigger instead of striking while the iron was still hot...

Yeah, he comes across as honestly wanting to improve and get back to his roots when he boxed with solid fundamentals. I haven't seen his last fight(s) since Salido 2 but it doesn't sound like it's been enough against someone like Garcia.

I guess you haven't seen him **** on the ref or anybody else? It's NEVER him. I think it's his attitude. Who would want to train him?
