I applaud you for not being a bandwagoner. :good I remember getting excited in 04 at the prospect of a Bowe comeback.:patsch
But as fans, we have to move on and remember our heroes at their best. Zab gaves us some good fights. Hoping for more will probably bring nothing but dissapointment.

He was injured for the best part of 2 years.

Sharmba was the interim belt holder from memory of the only belt that wasn't stripped from Kostya becuase of his injuries. I think it was a mandated fight.

At the time everyone was raving about Sharmbas run of form too.

Still, Mitchell was good enough for Floyd to fight 12 months later right?

Tszyu was on top just at the wrong time. Cotto, Hatton, Mayweather still weren't on scene for him to fight, and even Gatti & Ward hadn't finished playing out. Leija and Mitchell II were fairly anticipated fights, even Ben Tackie was thought to be a worthy challenger at the time.

I think the second Shamba Mitchell fight was Tszyu's best performance. People were belly-aching about how their first fight ended, and Shamba was on a tear. He was looking extremely impressive in all his fights, even suddenly showing a lot of power and KOing guys like he never had, and still looking even faster than ever.
I was seriously worried as a big KT fan. When he went in there and blew him out like he did, that's when I knew KT really was a special fighter.

Tszyu said the way Zab acted he didnt deserve a rematch. True words. Kostya has too much respect and honour.
