it seems that gbp promotions is going to match the toprank offer, in that case zab would be the better move.

I want this fight more than anyone, but if JMM has a shot at a Pac fight this fall? This makes about as much sense as the Chris John fight. None.

At the end of the day Boxing is a business. This fight makes ZERO business sense with a Pac fight on the horizon. I say this as a HUGE Zab fan.

Unfortunately Zab beats JMM fairly easily at 140. Style wise Zab is a problem for Marques, plus...JMM doesn't belong at Jr WW or WW. he needs to stay at 135 where he still is operating at a high level and not giving up speed, power and stamina by blowing up to secure a fight with a name.

I think Judah beats Marquez at 140. He showed improved stamina wit Pernell in his corner and he showed much better defense. I think Judah is a big problem for anybody at 140 except Maidana. Maidana is a matchup nightmare (hes too big and too strong).

    This.

If JMM is gonna go above 135, it should be only for extremely big payday fights ala Mayweather, and now possibly MP.

Marquez might not want the fight. Judah may be too fast.

Just let the computer go at it on Fight Night Champion. Judah Vs Marquez. 15 Round Bout ended in a draw. Marquez scoring a knockdown in the 8th. Rounds 6-7, 9-14 Judah, Rounds 1-5, 8, 15 Marquez Scorecards all identical 142-142

Pac and JMM are almost exactly the same size. Pac just fights huge guys. JMM 145 last fight and pac 148. Pac being a lot bigger is a myth

I think Judah is all wrong for Marquez. Unlike Manny, Judah has boxing skills (Manny is a great fighter. When I say boxing skills, I mean just that) and he's power alone will cause problems. Judah is just too big.

People keeps talking about Zabs chin and stamina, but his chin hasn't failed him too many times. He was improved with Whittaker in his corner, and he was always a very good boxer. He could easily outbox Marquez if he wanted too. He also punches much harder than Marquez. It's a bad style matchup. JMM would be kayoed.

I think Zab would win. JMM is a great fighter, but I think Zab has really improved his stamina and defense and work ethic. 135-140 is not a major weight difference. Zab was 138 or 139 for his last fight. He fought at 147 for a time, but said he did it for the money, plus he lost pretty much all of those fights.

Judah has a belt. He should be fighting top guys, and Marquez makes the most sense from a business point of view. There really isn't alot out there for JMM. If the Pacquiao fight doesnt come through, he's S.O.L. Marquez needs to stay active, and a summer fight with Judah is a perfect scenario.

Zab Judah is a one punch wonder and there's NO way in hell he would stop a fighter who has NEVER been stopped with just one lucky shot and with stamina problems.

Not even a greater fighter in Mayweather who came in ALMOST as a MW against Marquez could stop him, Maybe he could win a close decision but no way in hell Zab stops Marquez.

Zab's improved alot with Whitaker, I give him the edge in winning by decision.. Marquez at 140 might be too slow to keep up with Judah, though i can also see the momentum going back and forth.

Especially now that Top Rank has offered him an offer. Even though it is a shitty offer, it leads JMM on the possibility of finally getting that Pac fight he's been begging for. That means JMM will hold off on any other opponent until Pac signs his next fight whether it is against JMM or someone else.

So who knows, maybe he can entertain the idea of a Judah fight if it means it get's him some barganing power, if any, in a possible Pac fight negotitions.
