    Hot on "the scene"

A Judah-Quintana match up is being discussed. The potential fight would be aired on HBO BAD with the winner facing Berto on HBO WCB later in the year.

    Thoughts....

i heard Judah was going back to 140....where he needs to be because he's not a true welter....

Yeah but Judah's too much of an attention ***** to leave the spotlight of the welter weight division. I agree that he should be fighting at 140 but it doesn't look like that's going to happen.

I thought so too but who would he realistically be fighting in the near future at 154 that would provide him with the same money and recognition that fighting Judah would provide him at 147? Maybe he still moves up but a fight against Judah to fight for Berto's belt seems like it would be the best option for him.

It could just be a one fight deal at 147 for both guys. This is actually a winnable fight for Judah cuz Quintana isn't a pressure fighter nor a true powerpuncher.

I like this fight for Judah. This is a type of fight where Judah can shine.

............A Berto fight also favors Judah, I think. Berto's still too raw.

If Judah wins and fights Berto, its just to save Berto time before he finally faces an elite fighter. Judah is not the fighter he used to be, especially at 147

Agreed. I didn't think 154 would be a good weight for him anyway.

I definitely think there is a good chance that the loser moves out of the division but the winner would go on to fight Berto according to the article. I'm sure Dibella would prefer it to be Quintana who he also promotes. I like you would favor Judah in this match. Both guys are south paws but I favor Judah's speed and power advantages in this one.

Yea I'd favor Berto against Judah, but I'm not sure Judah even gets past Quintana.

Agreed to an extent. I wouldn't put it as it's saving time for Berto, I'd more less put it as a natural progression for him. Judah to me is in the same class as Collazo, Quintana, and Cintron and these are the type of fighters that Berto ought to be facing now to prove that he's worthy to be considered with the next class of welters. Any talk of Berto fighting Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, and PTP should be immediately hushed by Berto's handlers.

quintana would be the perfect fight for berto's next defence

if he gets this fight he is being moved along very very well, the callozo fight was the right fight for him and although he did not look too great i think he learnt a hell of alot
quintana is the perfect next step
