fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. i pick rios to win the fight, maybe judah can get pass madiana and thats ify as hell.rios wins that fight.
With their styles and current states, I can see Judah being competitive on the first 4 rounds but Rios' workrate and power will simply overwhelm him.
Judah has shown heart before, it's just not something you can rely on him for because he's so inconssistent. For example... Judah looked to be getting walked down by Mabuza (even though he was doing well), yet he still fought hard enough back to stop him. I'm not claiming he'll go there willing to die, but if he fights well enough where he keeps trying until the ends I believe he has a chance to land the money punch. A slight chance, but possible.
Arran I'm well aware of Judah's mental weaknesses. In my first post here I implied to it when reffering to Judah not needing to be down to be out. But you have to understand it takes heart to be a fighter period. Judah has heart and has the same ability to dig down deep as most people. He will not display legendary heart, but he can dig deep. Saying he has NO heart is a crazy fanattic way of seeing things. It's a weakness, but it doesn't mean he can never display a certain degree of heart.
This happens with Judah everytime, a good performance and he's back baby and he will conquer boxing but in the very next fight he loses or looks ****.
Well, that was the whole point. If you read well I'm not picking Judah at all, or even expecting him to look in his heart and pull off a heroic perfomance. But in analyzing his chances, I believe (could be dead wrong) that maybe he can still catch Rios and hurt him late in the fight if hhis heart is still in the fight by that time.
Judah has heart, all you need to do is watch the cotto fight to see that. i was very surprised he lasted as long as he did in that fight. same with the clottey fight, i did not expect him to make it that far either. he just doen't take punishment well at all. i love zab's fighting ability and this one would most likely be competitve the first few rounds but judging from rios's style as a pressure ifhgter, if i had to bet, i would say judah quits in the later rounds. still though this would be a good fight to see how rios would perform at junior welter. what better way to test the waters than against a great gatekeeper in zab judah!
Toss up! Love to see it happen... Rios may have too much for Zab but Judahs speed and southpaw stance could cause Brandon a lot of problems. Can't call it but I like both fighters. 2 of the best at Jr welter in my opinion.
yes i do realize judah quit against cotto. however, i was impressed judah lasted 11 rounds and took the beating better than i thought, as i expected he would capitualte much earlier. Thus proving that he had more heart than what i previously assumed. I understand people would much rather a fighter go out on their sheild and deem it unforgivable to quit against an opponent, but that's how unneccsary injuries and death occur. it's like acelino freitas quitting against deigo corrales when he appeared to be ahead on points, corrales knocked him down multiple times with devestating shots and if freitas had continued he may have received permanent brain damage or maybe even death. my point is it is easy for a fan to watch a fighter and criticize them for quitting when they're not the one in the ring taking a beating. because until you get in the ring and feel those shots you have no right to speak.
You find it impressive that he prolonged his ass beating? He quit against Khan also, so he can't have that much heart. I'm not refuting that Judah is a good fighter and obviously it's his decision who he quits against. But it is my opinion that he would mentally collapse against the Iron Chinned Rios.
