Been meaning to post this a while back.... Did Judah improved as a fighter by training in the Mayweather gym watching him spar/trained??? Am i the only one or does someone else noticed in the fight against Paris fight where Judah's accuracy greatly improved as well as some of the combos. Judah threw a lot of lead lefts. Left leads to right hook whilest floyd likes to lead with his right follow by left hook.
yeah zab looked terrific...still not sure if we learned more about zab or paris last week but one thing i have learned about zab...which ive known for awhile.....what wonders it did for him to scrap his father as a trainer....that relationship gets stale and can be toxic....and its amazing to see that hes grown up...it takes longer for some to grow up than others....but its nice to see him ditch that street thug mentality.....if only he could have done that when he started this thing.....watching the prefight special they did on him on the nbc network....there is a noticeable difference in him....and i believe it.....im interested to see him in the ring again
Zab has worked with Floyd a lot throughout his career. I like Zab at 140 and think he can dominate if he doesn't lose his mind in the ring eventually. I think he was hit low with Khan but whatever the situation, he didn't respond and the fact is, it was called a KD and he should have realized that. Like Bobby said, we may have learned more about Paris than Zab last week. Zab is a top 5 140lb fighter. With Bradley moving up and Khan supposedly moving up after this fight, Zab can take this division if he keeps his head right. He is faster than any fighter at 140.
what could have been for this guy....not many are blessed with his package of skills....the handspeed and the power...the physical gifts.....always lacked between the ears.....too much of that brooklyn street mentality controlled him for most of his career.....looks like hes genuinely kicked that habit...hope he has one more run in him
It was more a case of Paris being a B class fighter if I'm honest. Judah destroys those guys, it's the elite fights where he caves.
He looked great against Paris...:huh..not sure what you were watching. Nevermind the competition. Zab looked like a dominate 140 lb fighter. Did you not see his connect percentage at 67%.
Zab is probably the best punchbag fighter in the world... the ability to pull off every shot, and every move flawlessly. Put something in front of him that hits back, and his ability to capitulate comes to the fore. Such a shame...
Judah looked like the same old judah to me. He had an easier opponent in front of him, he always looks good against C / b level fighters. He'll never compete with the elites, he's not on that level.
Zab did look better than in previous fights but that has a lot to do with Paris. Paris stood mostly in front of Zab and had crap stamina and didn't throw too much. But Zab himself looked good. He didn't do he usually circle right and throw your BS jab that tap your opponent's gloves :tired and then look for the one counter left hand over and over. Zab looked confident, stood his ground and only moved really when he needed to. I did see some similarities between him and Floyd(against Ortiz) in the fight. The way he was coming forward at times and the way he'd use his right hand to check Paris's jab and throw his straight left down the middle.
He fought a more active fight, but there was a maturity about it if that makes sense. Everything he did had a purpose, substance. Also, Paris allowed Judah to dictate the pace of the fight and the angle of the exchanges, the dynamic was under Judah's control, so Paris never gave him self a chance.
