Figured we should start one as a boxing community. We can keep track of Judges, questionable decisions and possible corruption. Perhaps every year we can have a top ten most corrupt judges list with a list of fight robberies as well. Might be able to do some good for boxing.. Guess I will start.. Casamayor vs. Santa Cruz Frank Lombardi Ron McNair Tony Paolillo
Wow, this is EXACTLY the thread I wanted to make. My idea is this: let’s talk about controversial or "interesting" judging in a VERY RESPECTFUL WAY with counting and taking notes of judges with a controversial score. The most objective would be counting the member’s vote as +1 if he/she thinks the judge's score was controversial or a -1 if he/she thinks it wasn't controversial at all. -1 is very important because at the end of the day it will filter out the fights/scores that could've gone either way (like JMM vs. PacMan or FMJr vs. JLC I.) and the real controversies would remain in the list anyway (like the JC-Santa Cruz scores) If the thread stays respectful for the judges who are professionally qualified for their job, at the end of the day the ESP Community could write a petition to the organizations, promoters and commissions maybe with the respectful reactions of the members which could turn out something BIG. An open communication between the judges and experts/internet community would be great. The other thing: I suggest that we should start the count this year. Going back in years would be unfair IMO. Maybe we could count the 2nd half of 2007 but no need going back in time. The whole thing is to have an effect in the PRESENT and for the FUTURE, not in the PAST. And remember: RESPECT EACH OTHER'S OPINION!
Pavlik-Taylor1 Julie Lederman John Stewart Guido Cavilieri We should take turns pushing them down flights of stairs...and finally..pee on them:good
I would definitely say that Mr. Frank Lombardi's (+1) and Mr. Ron McNair's (+1) score's very inaccurate and I wouldn't say that of Mr. Tony Paolillo (-1) http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1231756 I would say that Mr. Eugene Glenn's score in the Zsolt Erdei vs. Tito Mendoza fight was very inaccurate (+1) as well as Mrs. Julie Lederman's (+1) in the Pavlik-Taylor fight. http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1230579 http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:1216171 That's Mr. Frank Lombardi (+2) Mr. Ron McNair (+2) Mr. Tony Paolillo (0) Mr. Eugene Glenn (+1) Mrs. Julie Lederman (+1)
I suggest that we should follow my form (please fill in your's RealIzm). Be accurate in the names' spelling!
I'm usually pretty good with the spelling mate I sometimes have lapses I nominate you Bigbone to be the tally keeper...your doing a wonderful job sofar keep up the good work:goodHmm you should just re-tally maybe in the afternoon then in the evening as I'm sure it will be tough to keep up
Oh I myself having big problems with spelling as I'm not an English-speaking guy But it's important to stay respectful to the judges. (Guido CAVALLERI is the right spelling by the way :think Michael Buffer always mistakes) Well, I suggest that everyone should fill in his +1 and -1s after Copy+Pasting the last one, It would be hard for just one man.
Ken Morita: Had Douglas losing to Tyson at the time of the stoppage and had De La Hoya beating Quartey by FOUR points. Duane Ford: Gave Taylor the 12th round in the first fight with Hopkins (which made Taylor the winner rather than a draw), and also had Foreman losing by just 1 point when he beat Moorer.
