All I'm saying that there's enough gray area where I can't get that upset with the two judges who disagreed with my personal scorecard, McGrain. Yes, I fall into the 50-1 camp, because I scored the fight 7-5 Pac. But I also know that many of the rounds were so ambiguous that I could easily come up with a different score that swings two rounds either way. If I see this fight again, I might score the fight 9-3 Pac. But if I score those two rounds in favor of Bradley, then my card swings to 7-5 in favor of Bradley...just like two of the three judges that night.

50 people scored the fight in favor of Pac. Did they all score the fight the exact same way, McGrain? Would they have scored it the exact same way had they been sitting in the judges chair that night?

Just have to ask myself these questions before I can completely dismiss the result as being the worst form of larceny imaginable.

Have not managed to get access to the fight yet but it would appear looking at the messages from posters i know and respect that the fight was closer than the whitewash some are pretending it was.

    Yeah, they did.

    They all scored for Pacquiao.

The only possible winner of this fight under sensible criteria - or at least the criteria of better than 90% of boxing people ringside. More than that, I cannot say.

I would agree with you if that was what actually happened. But, unfortunately, it didn't. Making the opponent hit your blocking arms and gloves, does not constitute as getting punched. Because if it did, a certain Floyd Mayweather Jr would have lost a lot more rounds during his career.

I generally agree with what Roth said, but Bradley clearly did not do enough over the whole fight to take Pac's belt. I would argue he didn't do enough to retain his own if it was on the line if you're from the school that believe a challenger has to do more to take the title.

Besides, it still doesn't explain how the other two judges gave round ****ing five to Bradley. He did **** all that round except flick out soft pawing jabs while in full retreat mode. I can go along with the odd robbery if some of them didn't have such blatantly bull**** rounds where its clear something is going on.

    excellent point.

  9. I guess he doesnt count Mike Jones losing because he won 99.9% Of the fight.

I agree. IB has made some good points on this thread as well as Reppin and a few others. There were several close rounds, ones Pac didn't do much of for around 2 minutes or more.. People stating Bradley didn't land much or anything during those 2 minutes need to re-watch the fight ignoring HBO and LOOK to see punches landed. He did nice body work and landed some nice shots to Pac's head that people scoring for Pac completely ignore.. Not sure if you guys aren't seeing the punches or just don't want to.. Bradley was landing on Pac during those rounds Pac didn't do much but land 2 or 3 nice shots at the end.

And he didn't say he didn't give Pac the rounds for not showing killer instinct.. He making an observation, that Pac slowed down towards the end of the fight.. Bradley scored more blows during those moments he slowed down.

PAC did slow towards the later part of the fight, but Tim was faded......I mean.....Tim literally relied SOLELY on his his jab as his main weapon...a weapon that wasn't finding its mark, nor was it inflicting any real damage. Tim's Jab was a necessity to survive and survival for Tim was by keeping distance between himself and Manny.

Tim did a great job of that....but I'm more less complimenting his footwork and ring awareness. The jab was just something to produce offense and score points....he wasn't trying to win. that's my problem. PAC was trying to win even though he was dominating the fight. He continued to push the action where Tim was looking to go 12.

Cotto didn't give an interview because he didn't want to. He gave one in his dressing room and that was that.

He actually left because he said "he wanted to go to the bathroom" (which was a somewhat polite way of excusing himself of giving an interview he didn't want to give), in which rumored reports were that he was pissing blood. None of which were confirmed by anything solid. Nobody in Cotto's camp said Cotto needed special medical assistance. It was a weak tweet from some journalist. Even in the HBO replay in which they did spot him in the dressing

An ass whooping is what Mayweather did to Marquez. Or what Cotto did to Gomez or what Pavlik did to Sigmon. Or what Froch did to Bute. THAT'S an ass whooping. This was a competitive fight. And posting pictures of Cotto's face is a cute tactic to TRY and proove your point. I don't need to resort to posting Floyd's ****ed up nose to say it was a back and forth struggle.

At around 1:30 of round 1, Kellerman announced that Pac had lost the first round. (Ridiculous in itself as a lot of the round was still in the future !)

What made it worse was that, up to that point, Bradley had not landed a single shot to the head or body, only a few that landed on the gloves.

Pac had landed five or six times on Bradley's body.

In the final minute, pac landed the only meaningful shot of the round and rocked Bradley with a head shot.

In a round as timid as this, that seals the score. 10-9 Pac.

Re-watching the bout, and looking hard and generously for rounds to give to Tim, I could only find 4.

10-2, 11-1, or 9-3 were the most reasonable scores.

Was it not the first round when Bradley landed that check hook, that was a great shot and got **** all attention from HBO.

I agree with the judge. Pac won a close fight. All the wide scorecards are crazy imo.
