Lets remember Valero as a boxer, and leave God to judge him as a person.

Lets talk about how he would have matched up against today's 140 lbers: Maidana, Bradley and Devon.

In the Demarco fight I thought he showed a lot of guts fighting through that awful gash, plus a surprising degree of footwork, head movement, and counter punching. I was SO excited to see how he developed.

i always thought he was overrated but the DeMarco fight did show me has more skills than i thought aside from his obvious power. Also the man just didnt stop coming forward with a vagina split open on his forehead. he was an animal in and out of the ring and made for interesting fights.

That said i think the top 140 lb guys beat him. Bradley likes to brawl a lot and his chin isnt that great so it would have been interesting how going toe to toe with valero would have been even though i think Bradley is too quick and skilled for Valero.

I was drooling over a potential Maidana-Valero fight though.

Agreed. Let's leave the condemnation and the indgination for other threads. . .there's plenty of those out there. We don't need another one telling us Valero was "****" or "scum". That's obvious. . .we ALL understand that. No need for the judgmental overkill.

He is scum, and that's how he will be remembered, if the son of a ***** had killed himself and left his wife, then maybe you could judge him as a boxer.

    Judgemental :rofl

Yeah all he did was stab an innocent woman to death. How judgemental of me to let that ruin the boxing chit chat.

No need to, he failed as a human being when he murdered a young woman, which means he is an all round failure who in 50 years will still be seen as a failure not a boxer.
The irony from some on this site is unbelievable, Margarito is hated for what he done more than Valero is by some on this site, as is Pacquiao and he has not even been proven guilty.
