"But if boxing is ever to earn its way out of the Red Light District of the sports world, some urgent reform is needed in this area. Unfortunately, those who hold all the cards are the same ones who lose the most if things are cleaned up.

The responsibility for making change then falls to the fans and to those few in the media willing to actually speak up."

Is this the true calling of Francis and Ty?

Boxing always has been and always will be run by crooks. It will never be fixed and is going down the toilet. It's far too big a job for me or Ty.

That article is absolute crap, if a judge has any integrity he will judge a fight on its merits.
I judge fights as red corner vs blue corner. The local fighter dosnt get the close rounds and has to win the fight. All judges should score this way.

But they obviously don't all have integrity as seen in the Chisora-Helenius + Lara-Williams fights this years. Those fights were not even close. I respect the scoring of fights from posters on ESB rather than the officials.

    spot on :good

The only peoeple who could clean it up would be the sports ministers. The entire system needs to be overhauled.

Yeah if Danny lasted the distance and Wlod had have won both rds 11 and 12 by 10-8 margins he still wouldn't have won.

When 1 of the judges is scoring round 10 to Green you know you have problems.

Its not crap at all. Its the way it works.

And he does mention judges with integrity ( like you)......, they are the ones promoters dont want.

But you may be used and feel good about yourself. Remembering that a promoter "only needs two judges".

Funny you say its absolute crap yet use the words IF and SHOULD when talking about other judges collectively....suggesting you cant speak for everyone else. Which means it might not be crap???

Govt wants as little as possible to do with the running of combat sports. It might be under the govts umbrella, but appointments of people in authority have little govt involvement.
