    The shaver article made me to write this thread

    I think its impossible to judge who was the hardest puncher of all time as many factors play a role in knockout. Factors such as:

    class of opponent
    skill of KO merchant
    fatigue of victim
    energy level of ko merchat
    injuries to victims

    and many more

    look at mike tyson. he was nowhere as great ko mechant once he abandoned the head movement and combination punching of his early years

    if shavers had the stamina and skill of tyson, he would of finished holmes and ali

    Big George Foreman, based on his fights against Norton, Frazier, and especially Michael Moorer. And for sheer destruction, watch the Cooney massacre.

    foreman never threw power punches with the proper tecnique. his form was rather poor

    how powerful would he have been if he did learn to punch better

    if you put a gun to my head, i would say it was foreman but its still a hard one. if shavers had the height and other advantages of george, he could of been an even bigger puncher

    David Tua is up there with any of them as long as this is based on pure power.

    Abraham is probably it today. Maybe Klitschko.

    Julian Jackson makes me remember the good times. Same with Tommy Hearns and Tito Trinidad.

    It's not impossible, because using all the criteria you've listed you would be able to find out who it was but it would take forever.
