At 160 I think Nigel knocks Julian out. Nigel showed how much punishment he could take in the McClellan fight. Tough boy.

    I agree with Roscoe.
Both guys are my top fighters.
But Nigel was too resilient of a fighter.
You can put him down, but good luck keeping him down.
Conversely, if you put Jackson down you can keep him down. And Benn could keep him down.

julian has by far one of the best one punch knockout power of all time. but of course with that type of gift comes a decent chin. his chin was iight. not the best, no where near what he could dish out. nigel would wear your ass down. he was relentless. a bit more raw than julian and easier to hit clean. i would take julian, plus i am alittle bias, im a mccellan fan.

I picked Jackson by KO but Benn would not surprise me if he stopped Jackson

Very touch choice! I've checked the previous fights of Benn and he was a beast in the ring! I'm leaning towards Benn to win by SD.

Julian Jackson by demolition job. Neither fighter were exceptional in any one area besides having raw power, but Jackson not only hit harder, but he would catch shots better, also.

Jackson on account of his superior punch resistance.

There was nothing wrong with Jackson's chin. I think Benn was the more fragile, having been hurt badly by Barkley, and took out by Watson. Eubank appeared to shake him up with nearly every solid shot he landed in their first encounter, also.

Yes he does, and Benn was stopped by Michael Watson.

However, Benn's desire would see him win it imo.

Benn by KO. Jackson lost to some average fighters and Benn was big at 160 and really a SMW.

People are talking about how Benn would wear him down but dont forget he also had devastating one punch KO power like Jackson.

I think Jackson was the harder hitter, and like I said before, I envision him being able to take more shots from Benn than vice versa.

Benn was never down for 10, always got up and had crazy odd recuperative powers. But this is Julian Jackson... if he caught him right he'd prob take Nigel. But then again if Nigel caught Julian right, he'd take Julian. Toss-up if both looked for KO.

Julian was a much tighter technician than Nigel with nicer counters and better body shots. But Nigel was more elusive, could duck and weave well when patient and release stunning power counters. Nigel did have boxing ability - he could dart in and out with a lovely use of his jab and fight off the ropes without getting nailed. He also had a very fast untelegraphed right hand that he didn't need to load up with.

I think Benn could out-box him with movement and jab. He didn't suddenly have that ability for one fight (Henry Wharton), he did it to powerhouse Rod Douglas in the amateur ABA's on BBC-TV (after Douglas over-powered him the previous year). 12 rounds is a long time with Jackson only needing one chance but I honestly think Benn had the ability.

    Benn W12PTS!
