Toney, Jones Jr, Hopkins, Nunn at Middleweight...

Would lump on him beating Vargas brutally. In with a chance of catching and finishing Trinidad before Tito gets the engine running. Struggles badly against the other four and loses by stoppage to all of them.

hes a danger for anyone, his timing of bombs is a joy to watch and his setup was advanced too. Trinidad was fast and powerful but was open and fragile and prone to trading, this would be an explosive short fight I pick Jackson inside 5.
vargas was solid enough and was a nice boxer and could win on points but I think Jackson caught up with better fighters than vargas.
toney would be very tough for Jackson as he had great awareness and was hard to hit clean plus he was outstanding against pressure fighters, but Jackson would be deadly throughout.
Nunn would be herol graham type fight and jacksons only hope of victory would be to sucker nunn onto one of his nukes, Jackson was good at that though.
Hopkins would frustrate and hold and steal fast shots but he took too many on the temple and top of the head for me. against the relative non punchers he fought it was never a problem but Jackson could light your toes up with a forehead shot. he has a good chance.
Jones was loose and fast in his prime, but quite negative too so would be hard to catch clean early. Jackson would try all night but only a punchers chance in this one.

Oh man. Jackson v. Tito would be a war. I think either guy could stop the other. If I had to choose, I'd go with Trinidad. I think Jackson would stop Vargas.

I don't think Jackson would have beaten any of the guys you mentioned at middleweight. He would have a punchers chance to maybe get lucky but all those guys were too well schooled for him.

I think Jackson was better at 154 and beat much better completion at 154 than at 160.

Jackson would destroy Tito and Vargas.

Jackson may very well catch Nunn the way Toney did. Nunn was good, but got lazy. Can't do that against Jackson.

I pick Jones over The Hawk. Too fast at middleweight.

Hopkins and Toney would be interesting. Both went on to have better careers than the Hawk after moving up in weight. But, both men avoided Jackson like the plague at middleweight. Especially Toney. Jackson called him out constantly, and Toney never made a peep in response. Knowing how much Toney likes to talk trash, that speaks volumes.

Toney would destroy Jackson. He's a stylistic nightmare for him. Too slick, too, clever, too ****ing tough. His chin could take Jacksons best shots imo. Toney thrived on fighters coming forward, even clever ones. I loved how he roll/duck countered. Guy's coming at him ended up scared to throw because he was so slick and clever. He used to use Gerald Mcclellen as a punch bag In sparring. Jackson would not last 6 rounds imo. Jackson had power and great timing but he's not skilled enough. No way he bests Toney because he doesn't have the style for it

I've been thinking about how these two would match up a lot over the last few days. I came to the same conclusion that Toney would be motivated for Jackson an make an absolute example of him. But Jackson had the kinda power that he could even possibly catch a guy like James Toney who no one knocks out and put his lights out. Its unlikely though I think Toney would be in full control of most of the fight and put a real hurting on Jackson, Jackson may get through with a couple of bombs but Toney would be able to roll with them for the most part and never get hurt seriously.

Toney could certainly get badly hurt by Jackson, but the fight probably plays out similar to McCallum vs jackson, with Toney durable enough to avoid being too badly hurt unless caught just right, and able to fire back with superior skill and enough power to get an early-mid round stoppage.

Great fight while it lasts, probaby.

Jones i think just stays away from Jackson, and picks him apart with quick lead single shots, think a more measured version of the Graham fight, but without Jones taking the same dangerous risks and having the power to eventually stop Jackson with a single punch if he lands right.

Nunn could a similar dominant stoppage as Jones likely would, but takes far more risks\is lazier\sloppier and more likely to do something foolish and get knocked out.60\40 for Nunn, but not a great shock if he gets laid out while posturing with his back to the ropes or leaning inside taunting Jackson.i'd be much more confident in the pre-kalambay Nunn that was still in shape to fight for 12 steady rounds getting the win, than the coked up lazy version that showed up after.

Hopkins would just stay defensively tight, pick away with lead rights and a bit of roughhousing here and there, without giving much openings away.Think a mixture of the Tito and Echols fights, but with more danger involved for X.comfortable win, though probably more workmanlike looking than the others. The earlier Hopkins that fought like more of a slugging, aggressive boxer-puncher would be a much more entertaining fight that Jackson would have a better chance in, but i still think it likely Hopkins would have the strength, skills, poise, defensive and offensive ability to take him out first.

Vargas gets horribly mangled inside 6 rounds, possibly inside 2.He's not got the skills to outbox Jackson, the power or offensive ability to really take the play away from Julian, nor the style to minimise punishment. He'll have to take Jackson's best soon enough and isn't likely to last through it and turn things into a prolonged brawl like he managed with Tito.

I favour him over Tito by early-mid stoppage as well, though he has the offensive output needed to hurt and stop Jackson in a shootout, unlike Vargas.

Trinidad's defence, chin, legs and skills wouldn't be up to coming out on top that often though. He's starting to favour single shots over combinations too much at this weight, and Jackson is no one you want to try and brute force your way through unless you are a real tank, which Felix is far from.

Jackson stops both Trinidad and Vargas at any weight.
He was too finished by the time when Jones had the IBF belt, but prime vs prime he could spark him and Jones would have never agreed to fight such an opponent.
    Toney and Nunn IDK.
If Hopkins is allowed his usual cheating, he probably but not surely wins a decision.
