I want to go on record right now with a prediction. Julian "J Rock" Williams out of Philadelphia, PA who is trained by a great, rising trainer Stephen "Breadman" Edwards will rule the Junior Middleweight Division in the coming years. He is a great, all around talent who is on the verge of a title shot next year. I see him beating Canelo (if he can even make 154 anymore), Lara, Cotto, the Charlo twins and anyone else in that division. I have been following his career since early on and I urge everyone to keep a close eye on him. He will be involved in some big fights in the near future, and subsequently his trainer (who has one of the highest boxing IQ's in the sport) will be highly sought after become an elite trainer in the sport. Mark my words!

He does everything well. His balance is superb, he is a thinker and makes subtle adjustments extremely well, his power and speed are good, his stamina is outstanding, has very good footwork and his defense is solid.

He's a good counter-puncher. That counter right that dropped Hernandez was beautiful.

He's only 24.....I highly doubt he'll be able to make 154 by the time he's able to even get those fights.

Canelo is killing himself to make weight and had to get and extra lb to make a fight with Lara and still looked like a zombie at weigh in.

This Williams is a big LMW.....my guess is he'll peak at 27-28 and he'll probably be a MW before he's 26.:think

Spread the news when he gets some footwork. He fights like his feet are glued into the floor.

We have to see how he does against someone with speed and movement...or just speed OR movement at this point.

Sorry for the late response. Canelo is build differently. He is a lot stockier. I think Williams can make the weight for a couple more years. I agree he will be a Middleweight but will not go higher than that.

I think his footwork is pretty good. He is very economical and cerebral and plants his feet, getting great leverage on his punches.

Dont think he has Wards ability.

I do think he'll pick up a belt someday though

Trust me, he will pick up more than one belt. I have seen him fight in person multiple times and he has the goods. He also has a great rising trainer named Stephen "Breadman" Edwards who does a mailbag on another website who will become an elite trainer in the coming years.
