Yes it does make a difference. Cotto had a reputation for being a guy who redid faces. No he didn't knock guys out but to redo faces you need some power, correct?

Also why do you assume that a P4P punch beats a P4P chin? Doesn't that sound a bit ridiculous to you? Shouldn't they cancel each other out?

 That's nice Boxrec work detective. You're such a simple ******* it's hard to properly debate with.

Hey, at least we're not stupid enough to assume that because Margarito took Cotto's shots, he'd invite the harder puncher of all time to tag his chin and keep coming.

Margarito would be layed out, face down on the canvas drooling if he took a flush shot from Jackson.

Perfect example. Guys like Tito and Jackson EAT margaritos for breakfast. They have problems with boxers or counterpunchers only. Thats why they had all them KOs. You dont stand in front of Tito Trinidad or Jackson. You just dont.

No, but you are stupid enough to continue to underestimate the man. Others have wisened up. I guess that is too far beyond your capacity for now. Maybe when you get older and mature a bit.

Why look solely at his record? You can see from that right there that Perry was at the start of his career and Maquilon at the end. Drayton is a durable fighter like Sweet Pea says.

Why are you bothering argueing against him? Jackson is one of the hardest p4p hitters of all-time, we're not talking about a guy who hit hard against just light-middles and knocked them out, we're not talking about a guy that could spark glass-jawed fighters. We're talking about a guy who could spark fighters several weight classes above his own who have solid chins.

Unless you are a big puncher with a cast iron jaw, like McClellan for instance who beat him twice, though was completely recked in the process, or a supreme technician who hits hard aswell and again has a great chin, like McCallum for instance who beat him aswell, then you are not going to beat a prime Julian Jackson. Not saying he couldn't be outboxed, but a guy like Margarito, who's chin is proven only at 147, and not so much at 154 or at all at 160, who is going to walk into punches and isn't a huge puncher himself, is not going to beat him.

Don't you mean Santos at 170 gave him a wakeup call?

The difference between Cotto and Jackson in terms of power is well night and day.

Why would they not cancel each other out? Because Iron chined fighters vs P4P hitters.

Because Iron chinned fighters have been hurt and knocked out before, Margo has been hurt before, for 3 seconds or whatever.

He is not invurnerable, he has a less than good defence.

If Margo had a good defence coupled with the chin nobody would be knocking him out.

However, he gets hit a lot, which you cannot do against p4p punchers or you will get stopped.

Jackson has a less than great chin, and this fight would be by no means a dead cert. But I would be pretty comfortable in my pick. Please do not respond with some comment about people picking Cotto, does nothing for the argument.

I'm underestimating him by assuming logically that he couldn't survive flush shots from arguably the hardest puncher in history P4P?

That's all you had to say!

Read the rest of the thread. The haters are out in full force, which is why this thread was created in the first place. So ******s can say he'd get laid out. At least you give him the benefit of the doubt. Which is rational and completely acceptable to me.

Margarito has the hardest chin at 147 without doubt. And arguably one of the hardest chins ever P4P. They tend to cancel each other out.

While you are masturbating to that video check out where Tony's back foot is when he goes down. Also look at how he isn't even shaken getting up before the whole count and looking embarrassed to have gone down.

Cherish it because the chances of you seeing it happen again are like one day being a man. Slim and none.

 Mayorga went up to weight classes to fight Tito:patsch and still it took lot's and lot's of hard punches to put him down. Now May was a true 147 fighter if that fight was there that would be another story.

Margarito would be going up a weight class to face Jackson, who's a harder puncher than Trinidad any way you slice it. And Tito was a natural WW going up in class to fight at MW himself, so what's the big deal?
