Julian Jackson vs. Felix "Tito" Trinidad @ 154

Tito. Better stand-up boxing skills and the more likely to land the big punch. If he gets caught big, he might not get up or if he does, he might be be fully recoverd. But I fancy him to land the bigger punches earlier. One things for sure, no way this goes the distance.

 

I like Tito by KO. Both hit the deck but Trinidad's seals the deal with a KO that keeps Jackson down for the 10 count. I also think Tito was the much greater fighter......

just a better all-rounder might have a dodgy chin aswell but where as jackson wasnt able to get out of the way when he was gettign swarmed and was outboxable i think trinidad is able to land a left hook to the body then drop a left hand to the chin when julian doesnt see it and gets dropped to which trinidad just puts on the pressure and stopped on his feet.

 

I never really thought tito had a dodgy chin really, poor balance certainly but his chin was decent.

That said if jackson stated landing no doubt he would knock tito out. I see it as a shoot out, who would be the 1 to start landing the heavy artilery 1st, tito was a notourious slow starter whilst we know jackson could be deadly early so i would have to favour the hawk but i think he needs to do it early.

When tito gets up and running he would be to accurate and fast and has the better chance of getting to jackson but he would have a couple of rounds before this likely happened where he needs to get trinidad out of there.

 

without cheating (putting things under the gloves) i believe jackson stops him but not early.
remember that tito was knocked down not a few times but got up.

 

Jackson would get the early KO the majority of the time in my opinion. A series of fights between the two is bound to have differing outcomes, but what it all comes down to for me is how they both started out. Jackson was always a quick starter, whereas Tito a lot of the time needed to get a feel for his opponents before he started to really let loose, and was often susceptible fo being knocked down in early rounds. I certainly don't think Tito holds any technical edges as has been suggested, in fact if I were to give an edge in that regard it would go to Jackson. Chins are about even as well, I just think Jackson's ability to get going earlier gives him the clear edge here. If Tito is getting dropped early by Jackson, he's either not getting up or getting finished shortly thereafter.

It took Tito a few rounds to get hold of another dangerous banger in Campas. Seeing that Tito was fairly hittable and 154 Jackson came out surging, I can't see Tito surviving.

By the same logic though, Tito comes out fast he probably gets to Jackson. It's a real 50-50 fight, I just feel Jackson would get there first.

 

Most of that was when he was well past his prime though.I don't remember him bein hurt too many times, say up until the Graham fight, which was about the end of his prime.

 

Jackson early-mid rounds KO in a backburner, Tito wasnt defensively good enough or had a great enough chin to avoid those fast accurate bombs that seemed to come out of nowhere. When Jackson lands his money shot his opponent was so often out before he hit the floor, I dont think Tito would fair any better. Imagine if Jackson was throwing those bombs Vargas was landing
