Given the way that JJ punches, throwing his entire weight into his shots without much regard for balance or being countered, I'd reckon that he very likely does. Golovkin isn't some savage from the backwoods. He's a calculating pressure fighter that looks to set up the right punch at the right time, while keeping his balance and giving some thought for defence. Golovkin looks to outbox and dismantle people systematically, not to send them to hell with one punch. That said, he can do that too if the opportunity presents itself.
Quincy Taylor said how hard Julian Jackson punched, every one hurt. If he caught you on the button the ref wouldn't need to count you out. I had to make sure he didn't catch me with one. GGG punched damned hard but Julian put you to sleep
One the best KO's that (imo) rivalled Jacksons superb KO off Graham who @ the time had schooled JJ throughout the bout was two Legends of all time...Tommy Hearns KO of Roberto Duran, spectacular but you wouldn't put Tommy in as a power puncher in the league of JJ, GGG, McCellan & Benn...no as has been said , GGG is a highly skilled pressure power puncher & not a Crash, Bang ,Wallop merchant as JJ & Benn... I'd put McCellan somewhere nearer Ggg for boxing skills...
Julian... Who wins? G.. Chin up there with Hagler at MW. G ravages Jackson badly in 7-8 prime for prime
As most have already said, for pure one punch KO power, it’s JJ. For relentless combination power shots it’s gotta be GGG
No agueing that, but a bout between them would be similar to Fury schooling Wilder , or GGG vs Lemiuex...skills count in boxing..
