Wasn't Gerald also the naturally bigger man?

McClellan was huge. He benefitted from day before weigh ins more than just about any other fighter I can think of. He probably came into the ring over the light heavy limit.

Yep. The biggest middle I ever saw. He was twice the size of Mugabi. He looked like a borderline cruiser in there with the Beast.

As for the thread, Carter early. I don't buy into all the Jackson love and really do not rate him all that highly.

This is the hardest call I've ever attempted to make. It could be the toss of a coin as to who lands the killer shot first. For all of you so certain about Jackson, watch the Hurricane kayo two of the best fighters of his era, Emile Griffith and Florentino Fernandez in the first round. Only the great Dick Tiger could beat him in a toe to toe shootout. If the Hawk keeps some distance and extends the fight past the first few rounds he could kayo Carter, otherwise I'll take Carter by KO within the first three.

I go Carter as well. Jackson gets some major love on this forum. I think he is a solid Jr. Middle but not so much at 160

I just have a feeling that where the Hawk is concerned you will favor him as often as I favor Joltin Jeff Chandler in Bantamweight and even SB fights...almost all the time lol

Yeah you'd be correct in calling me out as a Jackson fanboy, I think he's the hardest puncher ever (p4p) to ever lace up the gloves. Hell I think he hits harder than some heavyweights. And I also think he was underrated as a boxer, his ring generalship was solid. If he had a better chin he'd be a top tier h2h MW (imo)

Not a criticism just an observation...but there are few that I don’t think Chandler wouldn’t beat...its all good

Edit: I didn’t mean to use a double negative....oh well back to school
