In that case I choose Jackson by 5th round TKO stoppage. La motta shows balls but he ain't got no answer for that type of power
yes thats right, but in the past 'most' fighters didnt have that luxury of months between fights, so what you are is Basically what you fight at... so all the Bigger fighters today would not be stripping 20 - 30lbs every other week, NO, they'd be - just like their 1940s same Stature Peers - fighting at higher weights, often Catchweights and shifting either side of 10lbs when 'called' to championship weights contests in their competing divisions... Jackson and Co, are the Same Natural & Size of Conn & Co, Not the statures a LaMotta's MWs and Co. your not going to live in ANY Era and do completely different to the people of that Era - in the reverse the 40s fighters competing today would be fighting in a Division or 2 Lower.
Yup here's a few to start with Yarosz 164lbs Williams 160lbs Mitri159lbs Villemain158lbs Villemain 162lbs Cerdan 159lbs DeJohn157lbs Hunter 168lbs Dauthille157lbs Dauthille160lbs Satterfield 165lbs And light heavies too. Nardico 177lbs Murphy 175 lbs Murphy175lbs
Lamotta fought light heavy Bob Murphy when Murphy was ranked number 3,and again when Murphy was ranked number6. Murphy had 56ko's from 65 wins. Great puncher ,with something Norris never had,a top chin!
Jackson had quick hands, quicker than any light heavy and would have hit Jake more than he got to hit Norris.
No but more power, Jackson threw bombs with every shot while Robi threw tons of jabs to set up crisp combos.
Maybe that Jackson only put 3 middleweights down for the full count and nobody above that weight, whereas Satterfield ko'd 13 heavyweights ,some of them ranked. Then of course there are the light heavies he ko'd.
