Julian Jackson vs Jermell Charlo

I tell you what that would be a great matchup as the Hawk didn’t have the best of chins and Jermell might have the best chin today.. Somebody’s getting KO’d for sure..

Honestly he looks kind of wild to me. With the way he loads up his punches, how could he not be? That said his accuracy for such a hard swinging slugger is quite good.

 

Jackson was pound for pound the hardest puncher in boxing history. That being said, lets not get carried away like he's a better boxer then Charlo. I'd favor Charlo.

Jackson vs anybody is a hard matchup to predict because Jackson can knock anybody out, but he also can be stopped.

 

Take away Jackson’s power and I think Charlo is slightly more skilled, but since Jackson has the power I’m seeing a ko win for him

 

Fading, middleweight Jackson with pretty much one eye vs Jermall would probably be something worth discussing.

All Jackson did was load up shots, thats why he could be stopped by Charlo

 

Charlo has an iron chin, faster feet and hands, better footwork and boxing fundamentals also while carrying big power. Charlo by KO shatters the hawlkes vacant belt "champion" chin

 

That's not true at all. Jackson early in his career through straight hard shots.
His knockout of Drayton was beautiful. Short hard compact punches followed by a left hook.
Terry Norris got crunched with a short right-hand.
Charlo would get iced real bad.

bc terry norris just moved around essentially 'running' he had no jab just moved around lateraly without throwing anything of note out and JJ just walked him down knowing nothing is coming back

 

Jermell is a good fighter but hes no Mike McCallum and Jackson is maybe the hardest puncher P4P ever. Its not impossible to see a Charlo win, but Jackson probably connects and Jermell wakes up not knowing which Charlo brother he is.
