I think Roldan would be slapping Jackson around and roughing him up until he ran into one of jacksons sledgehammer shots. Jackson would be losing up until that point, then it would all change in an instant. Jackson by KO in 5 rounds.
This is actually a great matchup. Roldan is a heavy clubbing type puncher who comes to fight. For me it boils down to Roldan having to get Jackson out of there first. I have no doubt he could bully and bustle him and be leading if he doesn't get caught. Could his own clubbing right hand get Jacko out of there? Jackson a level below the likes of Hearns, Hagler and co. McCallum got him out of there and he's no great big puncher but he did first survive some heavy fire before crowding and pouring the skill on and hustling Jackson out of there. Perhaps it could have went on a touch longer but Mike was well on top and not letting up. I think Jackson - Roldan would turn into a shootout. Roldan's a bit mad. I think it would be over in 2-3 rounds, personally, with Jackson a big favorite. There's no way Roldan doesn't get hit with some hard punches and i can't see him surviving.
Great fight! Ultimately, Jackson seals the deal in 5 but not before some moments where he feels like he is on a boat at high seas and to top it all, drunk!!!
Honestly this is a 50 - 50 coin toss. Both have some serious punching power, and both are sure to be hit. Thus, at the end it all comes to who hits better and who can take a punch better. A real coin toss. My only certainty is that this fight is not reaching the final round.
Well, technically it has to reach the final round … whatever round that is. If Jackson KOs him in one, it reached the first round … which would be the final round.
