Would it be a Hagler/Mugabi and Hagler/Hearns or would it be a dif outcome??????????? I say Hagler outboxes Julian.

IT be more like Hagler/Mugabi.. Hagler would ruin the **** outa Jackson... Jackson would never be the same just like Mugabi was never the same after Hagler got through with him.

Hagler's beard was rock solid, Julian was a power house.

Hard to picture, Hearns wasn't the MW puncher he was at WW, so I don't think it's the best indication.

Hagler kills Jackson easily. Jackson could not take the punishment Hagler could dish out.

Jackson pretty much loses to all ATG's at middle/super.

I don't know.Jackson was far more accurate than anybody that Hagler fought.Particularly with his power shots.

I loved The Hawk..... but Hagler is the worst possible matchup for him. Marv beats the **** outta Jackson.

Hagler would most likely outbox Jackson and stop him.

Jackson's chances against the older Hagler increases as Hagler became easier to hit, but still, I favor Hagler.

Hagler had a great chin, sure great chins can get cracked too, but what are the chances that Jackson hits him with the type of shot he took out Graham with? Pretty slim IMO.

Even if Jackson hit Hagler with that type of shot.............Hagler would take it. Unbelievable that anyone would take that shot, but Hagler had arguably the best chin in history. Jackson stuns him, but Hagler recovers like he did when Hearns and Mugabi landed their best shots.

Hagler would just walk through anything Jackson throws and grind him down within 2 or 3 rounds.

I wouldn't say that Hagler outboxes Jackson - this fight is a war and there is very little technical boxing

The only thing that Jackson has over a prime Hagler is power. The version of Marvelous that tore up Mustafa Hamsho in fight one would eat him alive.

Jackson would make this exciting for a couple rounds but it wont take to long for Hagler to pick Jackson apart and hurt him repeatdley and Ko Jackson.

    Hagler ko 7

Hearns didn't hit Hagler with that type of blind shot in which he was coming forward and walked into a monster shot. Hearns's right hand was most powerful at a longer distance when he got full extension, the shot that stunned Hagler was a shorter punch.

Some people view certain chins as "undentable" but I tend to think that most guys can be stopped, or at least dropped, from perfect shots. But it has to be under the right circumstances which are rare. And then there's defense and accumalated punishment. Hagler had an awesome chin but another reason why he never got stopped/legitimately dropped is that he had good parrying ability and head movement. If guys like him or Dick Tiger had **** defense and just ate flush power shot after flush power shot like say, Margarito against Mosley, I think they'd have more stoppage losses.

Hagler outboxed most of his opponents, I don't see any reason why he would change up and fight Jackson in the real aggressive manner in which he fought Hearns. Jackson is not a real tall, rangy, super boxer from the outside like Hearns was.

Hagler's chin was incredible and as a boxer he's of a completely different class to Jackson. Jackson barely has a punchers chance. What a bad move that would be for him to fight Hagler.

    :good

The Hearns fight was a shocker for us all when Marvin came after Hearns the way he did.......Marvin usually slowly dissected his opponants with jabs & counters then upped the anti usually from around the 6th onwards..........similar fate awaits Jackson...TKO by 8.

Hagler only fought when he needed to most of the times. He wasn't scared to let his hands go but he just was a guy that like to move & box. Don't get me wrong he knows how to get a guy outta there when they're hurt and I see him doing that to JJ in a fight that'll go no longer than 7-10 rounds. Like stated Hagler did have a great chin and in my view he never got put down. The only kd he suffered was from Roldan but I don't think that was a legitimate punch.
