Williams could always get lucky since it's not like Julian had a granite chin himself, but odds are the Hawk puts him on a highlight reel.
:rofl lmao poor Herol Graham...looked like he got shot by a .357 Magnum This was a gun slinger battle....whoever got who first won. Williams is no feather fisted puncher but his power at this weight compared to Jackson's was like a 9mm handgun versus a sawed off shot gun. If he gets hit too much in this fight it's over...and it won't take a whole lot. Jackson actually punches even harder than Pavlik, Abraham, AND Miranda IMHO
look pw get hit alot but is ultra active an showed lots of resolve in last fight vs martinez an this fantasy match could go two ways pw keeping him off balance with his volume punching but there is always that chance of jullian landing vintage dismantling punch an i tend to lean toward latter
I think this has been answered adquetely. Any 154lb'er that gets hit too much is mincemeat against Jackson, unless they have similar artillery to KO him first and Williams doesn't. Herol Graham was boxing the perfect fight until he got KO'd...
Yeah, it looks like the poll reflects it. Anyone who doesn't have the good sense to stay away from JJ is gonna get KTFO.
Jackson was a driller at 154lbs. There were some good fighters smashed to bits. Norris, Graham etc. Even the glancing shots were enough to knock down opponents. The really timed bombs hitting the target were chilling. If you were making or designing the ultimate figter the raw power of Jackson would be there. He makes Felix Trinidad's power look average in comparison.
Jackson by stoppage. Williams is (IMO) a potential superstar, and has a very good chin, but a very good chin could still be cracked by Jackson, who could probably KO a decent chinned 175lb'er with a single shot. Paul doesn't use his height and reach to his best advantage, and would come unstuck here in about the 5th round, 40-36 up on the cards. Williams can bang a bit of course, but despite having several KO losses Jackson has a decent set of whiskers.... It's a case of one fighter being capable of taking the other's punches, but the other not being able to take his :deal
Perfect description. I rate PW highly, but this is a horrible matchup. You have to be able to take a punch and have decent defense and hit Jackson hard first. PW gets starched before the end of the third. Keith
I've said this before: Long Tall Paul is my favorite active fighter but he gets hit way too much. Julian Jackson starches almost anything he hits at 154. The Hawk by brutal early-mid rounds KO.
