Just had the pleasure of watching some vids of the electrifying Julian Jackson on another thread and am speechless. This man did not just knock people out - he thoroughly concussed them! He seemed to suffer a slight size disadvantage in his losses to McCallum and McClellan but they were still great fights while they lasted. Graziano seemed to be slightly undersized as a middleweight. I get the feeling if he had been reinvented today he would have been a junior middleweight like Julian Jackson was. Anyway, because these men both hit so hard and loved to be aggressive and mix it up I think this would be short and violent! I can honestly say that this would have NO CHANCE of lasting past five rounds perhaps. I personally would favor Jackson to win but Rocky could have his moments too.
Jackson by KO. Graziano is open and limited. He's tough SOB with lots of heart but his chin is just good, if that. He'll probably get stopped. TKO I predict.
Good prediction Pete.... Jackson was ruthlessly aggressive and that is just the type of fight it would be. I think it would end in three rounds or less with Jackson as the victor... Rocky does not have the defensive skills (McCallum) or the chin (McClellan) to survive Jackson's bombs... Like you said though, Rocky was one tough SOB and had dynamite in his own fists so anything is possible here.
Yeah, Graziano could pull out a Zale II like performance, but I just don't see it. I wouldn't be able to make him the favorite and I think if they fought 5 times Jackson would definitely win most of the fights. The thing is, though, Jackson is very dentable. For a man that hits as hard as he does, he doesn't take it like he can dish it. That adds to a little bit of the mystique for the fight, which makes it an interesting matchup. Still go with JJ
