I havent seen enough to make a good pick, I am just going to lean with jackson the way martinez keeps his hands low. Im not sold on Martinez being that good, his best win is over P williams, the pavlik win is only good considering the size differences and nothing else, we know pavlik isnt that good after his taylor and hopkins fights.

He couldnt stop cintron, why should I think he would stop jackson?

We know martinez is slick but he isnt RJJ slick, I think he will get caught with something big, having your hands low is asking for trouble against a puncher like that.

There is too much love for the past going on here.
I really like Jackson, but he wasn't unbeatable in any sense of the idea.

People talk about his fight with Norris as if that seals the case in favor of Jackson. But what in Norris and Martinez's approach leads any of you to see similarities?
Again, he's got a great KO over Graham.... but watch that fight prior to the KO. Graham was having his way with Jackson.

By golly I think you've got it...although it might be somewhat dependant on what pace the fight is fought at.

    1) That was basically a one-eyed Jackson.

    2) Graham was better at what he did than Martinez is at what he does.

I do definitely see Martinez being ahead on points before getting KOed.

    Good analysis! :thumbsup

  8. Martinez UD Jackson.

Martinez saw the Herol Graham fight. He's too smart to get careless against someone with that kind of hammer. I agree that if Jackson lands its over, but I think Martinez comes in with a good gameplan and stays out of range.

Martinez is not disciplined enough over the course of 12 to hang with Jackson. You see it in the Cintron fight and you see it in the Pavlik fight.
