Hearns should win either fight easily IMO. In Cuevas he's already destroyed a fighter who was every bit as chilling a puncher as Jackson was. Tommy has all the advantages expect perhaps one and they are even there. It's Tommy's fight to lose.

Hmm... I'm going to have to disagree with you there. There's two reasons: first, Hearns does a really good job of controlling range, and Jackson wouldn't be the type to go barreling right through Hearns' punches in order to stay close and crowd Tommy. Second, if Hearns got the advantage and got Jackson in trouble, I don't think Hearns would make the mistake of getting overeager and letting Jackson nail him. And part of the reason I think that is because I recently rewatched Hearns-Cuevas and I was struck by something.

Now, the first time Tommy even touches Cuevas, just 18 seconds in, Cuevas staggers backwards. Okay maybe it was a fluke. Then just about 20 seconds later Cuevas is again visibly affected by a shot. Yet both then and continually throughout the rest of the fight, even when he's bouncing Cuevas into and off the ropes, Hearns keeps his compsure and is patient rather than charging right in and taking a chance with Cuevas catching him with something coming back. (Yes, it may sound odd to say he's being patient in a 2 round fight, but there were so many times where pressing the attack Hearns could have gone too far and run right into a crazy shot ala Darchinyanbut instead he stays in his element),

And this was a 21 year old Hearns in his first title fight. The more epxerienced one who would have run into Jackson at JMW or MW wouldn't have made the mistake Graham did, in my opinion, and let Jackson get in a killer shot.

Yeah, with Jackson's power anything can happen, but I'd feel comfortable taking the Hitman and saying he wins this fight something like 8 times out of 10.

Both guys devastating punchers...Hearns the more complete boxer...Jackson the best pure puncher and that is saying a lot against Hearns...Hearns KO'd them for 20 minutes...Jackson for 30

I'll go with hearns but I wouldn't bet my house on it. Jackson is one of historys greatest pure punchers and anything could happen.
