Julian Jackson vs. Wilfred Benitez at 154

Benitez didn't have a habit of hurling himself at fighters leaving himself wide open, in acts of rash incompetent ring-generalship like Graham did though.

 

Benitez wins a wide decision over the lacking skills, but not power Jackson.

 

One way traffic & it's only as hard as Benitez makes it...Shutout or late KO.

 

Benitez at his very best would NEVER have gotten hit by Jackson.

 

I pick Jackson by KO. Benitez was too cute in the ring sometimes, and Jackson only needs you to be cute just one time.

 

Everything about Wilfred is to not get hit, and Jackson has to hit people to use that great power. Wilfred would win a decision. At 154 he was great and fought 2 greats (Hearns and Duran)

 

I can't believe some people are actually picking Jackson to win,

Jacksons starting to become the most overated fighter on ESB

 

Benitez at his very best was not at 154 pounds.

 

I can't believe so many are picking Benitez to win. Given the arsenal of nukes JJ had, how can this end in anything but disaster for the slick but powerless Wilfred? His best days were at the lower weights.

 

It can be hard to pick it with Benitez..what weight his best performances were at.

At 140 and 147 he had some brilliant showings but also some extremely poor ones.

I feel he become reinvigorated for a little while at 154...The Duran, Hope and Hearns fights are some of his better efforts.

That Benitez I see Jackson having an awfully hard time beating.

Actually he looked great at 154 and had some of his best performances. At 154 I think he might have beaten Leonard and people will call me crazy on that. He was solid at the weight. He beat Duran almost outclassing him, and knocked out Hope cold, and then even in a losing effort to Hearns, Tommy could not hit him at all with his right hand. Tommy even had trouble landing body shots on him He fought great at 154.
