Jackson had 49 kos in 55 total wins. That’s nearly a 90% KO ratio. Jackson was a devastating puncher of very high grade.
I remember Gerald McCellen's post fight interview after his first fight with Julian. He complained of a headache. Not something the winning fighter does. Thinking about what happened later on.
Norris completely froze when hit by Jackson, he was never knocked out in that fashiion by anyone else, Jackson hurt McClellan far worse than Benn did, G-man had a great chin, McCallum rode shots well and ws badly shaken by Jackson he got Julian out quick and thee was no way McCallum could have taken more of those punches at all, Mike also said Jackson had faster hands than anyone else he faced in his career, Mike also couldn`t stop Graham who was knocked out by one of the best shots ever landed in the ring.
If Jackson had been taught to move his head after he punched he would have been much harder to knock out.
McCallum knocked out Curry at 154 and G-man was a devastating puncher, I can`t think of another fight when a fighter with quick feet like Norris was knocked out while on the backfoot, Norris only ever get knocked out on the front foot, look at his fights v Brown.
It’s very probable he was on the juice. The late 80s and 90s were when PEDs came into wide use with little or no regulation whatsoever. Jackson’s boxing skills minus his horrifying power were pretty subpar, if he was taking a special arm thrusting enhancement steroid or something it might explain why he got so far. Without the drug he could be a pillowfisted nerd. If he was cheating then duh, it’s overrated. If not, he’s just a freak of nature and is the p4p King.
Tell us more about these "thrusting enhancement steroid" substances. Sounds like they might be useful!
Bodybuilders and powerlifters used to use stuff to enhance their arm power. They used to inject horse or bull testosterone for that, not sure which. Some guys lost their minds and went crazy, now they have tests for that ****.
