Julian Ramirez is a 5'7 22 year old Featherweight with a 16-0 8 KO's record. Born in Pasadena and fighting out of Los Angeles, California. Julian comes from royal Mexican Boxing blood, his uncle is the late great Genaro Hernandez, so if he can get anywhere close to that good, he'll be impressive. He's managed by Joel De la Hoya and is promoted by Oscar and Golden Boy, he came by his interesting nickname of "The Shrimp", because he's a fair skinned Mexican and according to his great grandfather when he gets his blood pumping in the ring he turns a shade of a cooked shrimp, and it stuck. Julian is probably one of the best all around prospects the United States has to offer, while he has power and stopped many of his early opponent fairly quickly, he wanted to improve his overall game, and perfect his skills even more. He's a relentless pressure fighter who brings it from the southpaw stance, all the while, slipping and sliding their shots and landing his. He has a ton of potential and is one of the standout prospects in the Featherweight division and he's also a good looking kid and he has a really likable personality which helps. Check Out The Shrimp In Action as he brutally Pressure Cook His Foes.:toney:toney:toney:toney

Indeed one of the best US prospects. But he's gonna have to show his full potential to make a name in a division like featherweight.

I think he could deal with most FW's outside of Loma, I doubt Walters will be around for much longer , Cuellar might be a problem for him as well.

Hehe, seen this guy against Melo a while ago on Sho Box and was mightily impressed, he's one of the guys I'm most high on in terms of prospects ATM.

Why is no one mentioning the fact that Ramirez beat Lopez 8-2 maybe even 9-1 and got the s*** robbed out of him Saturday, yes Salido-Vargas was a FOTY contender, but it shouldn't give us amnesia. Someone should do a thread on how that was one of the blatant robberies of the year.:deal

I did think about starting a thread but all the trolling would've dug it right away. I can't believe he was given a loss. Really makes me wonder how those judges score.

I have no idea how a draw could even be feasible, what the **** were the judges looking at? And if it were some Golden Boy screw job, what the hell is the upside at having Lopez win, he's not the more fan friendly fighter nor does he have the bigger upside, the whole thing makes zero sense. And do a thread, its worth it.
