Does feel like both Williams and Hurd are making mistakes by not taking immediate rematch’s. We saw Hurd lose to Williams and delay the rematch and look what happened, he won’t be able to get his titles back. The same with Williams against Rosiado. It looks like Rosiado is going face Jermall Charlo next.

Could anyone name any fighters that delayed fights or didn’t take them at the right time (if you understand).

    Examples
    Kid Chocolate v Korobov
    Kell brook v Jessie Vargas

Probably the best example would be Juan Manuel Lopez vs. Gamboa. They sat on that fight and sat on it and sat on it until Juan Ma got abused by Salido, blew up to 200lbs, dropped back down and became a spent force and Gamboa blew up and became fragile.

The 4 that really stick out to me for this era is:

    1. Kovalev vs Stevenson
    Undisputed LHW Championship
This would have big historically for the winner for sure.. There was no way this fight didn’t end by highlight reel KO

    2. Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman WBA/WBC/IBF WW Championship
After Thurman unified and Errol beat Brook this should have been next as the buzz was at a peak for both fighters.

    3. Kell Brook vs Amir Khan
    WBO WW Championship
Brook defeated Porter and Khan had just defeated Devon Alexander. That fight would have been big for the winners career in the UK and could have been a Eubank/Benn and Froch/Groves type of rivalry..

    4. Jermell Charlo vs Jarret Hurd
    WBA/WBC/IBF Championship
Charlo was on a streak of spectacular KOs and Hurd has just beaten Tony Harrison followed by defeats of Trout and Lara ( only achieved by Canelo)..

I agree, however the fascinating thing about this division is that there's no clear top dog, and that anyone can beat anyone. Hurd and Williams will probably get another shot (and possibly become champions again) in the near future.
