I'll keep this short but a 38 year old female fighter from Brazil named Julie Werner recently released a statement about why she doesn't fight anymore. Julie suddenly stopped fighting 4 years ago but many people were not sure why. Now it has become clear. One of Brazil's better female fighters and a veteran, Julie was fighting against a shorter and 22 year old unproven fighter named Ariane Lipski but as fate had it, Julie got destroyed by a hard right hand punch from Ariane, knocking Julie to the canvas with a broken cheekbone and a concussion, forcing her to end her MMA career. 4 years later now, Julie has said that doctors don't recommend her to fight again but she says she can do so at her own risk. Recently, Julie made a statement that the next time she ever fights, it would be against Ariane, and she was even boasting that she would break Ariane's face as revenge and send her on a permanent vacation to the hospital while Ariane says she'll have to knock Julie out and teach her a lesson once again. Who do you think will win the rematch and what do you think of this brutal KO (@ 2:45 of this video)

I'm not sure Werner would pass medical in the US. The UFC has hid fighters from medical before though. Rashad Evans and Andrei Arlovski were both hidden on cards in locations without medical.

Even still, Lipski is in the UFC now. Werner is 38, 8-6, and lost 3 of her last 4 by stoppage. I doubt this match is being made. I'd say that's a good thing.

Yeah I don't see any interest in this fight. Two unknowns, and one is a prelim fighter in the ufc. I don't mean to sound harsh, but why do you find interest in a rematch that would be irrelevant to most fans?

Whoa, that knockout was nightmarish! You don't see that kind of destruction typically in WMMA, aside from when Amanda Nunes fights.

I don't know much about the other lady, but Lipski is pretty good. She had a ton of hype coming into the UFC but she faltered badly against JoJo Calderwood. She won her last fight but it was against a late-notice opponent and she wasn't super impressive.

Still, I'm optimistic that she can emerge as a decent contender. I think she might turn out to be a bit like Dan Hooker, someone who eventually gets their sea-legs in the UFC after a spotty start in the organization.
