I don't understand why people have any issues with Julio Cesar Chavez's record. He fought a lot more regularly than the average top level fighter at the time, and this was more a method of training than anything else. Chavez would still routinely fight a ranked contender, he'd just warm up against overmatched opposition inbetween. I 'spose we should also factor in the fact that Chavez could have drew in crowds hitting the punch bag.
Chavez was a brilliant pressure fighter. Textbook in a lot of ways offensively and defensively for a fighter of his style. **** off.
[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei7YkW12iAs&feature=related[/ame] The term "brilliant" is hardly ever used to describe Chavez but he used to show flashes of brilliance all the time.
:good I remember back in the late 80s both Chavez and Tyson being 2 of boxings superstars and rarely did you see a brawler or puncher showcase defense like they did at times.
Better stay north of the border, my friend. Well north. Chavez wasn't dazzling to watch. He was a mechanic, a technician. Willing to do the body work, pay his dues, wear you down. And for about 100 fights in a row it worked pretty damn well.
Basically you have watched a 5 minute youtube clip and came to this conclusion. Ban this ****ing idiot!!
This site has becoming more filled with garbage threads but threads like these give the site hope. Im glad more and more ESBers are beginning to see the light. Look at all these blind fools defending Cocaine Chavez. They are all ethnically similiar and Ill give you all a clue they aint white, asian, or black.
There are currently dung-beetles shoving balls of **** around the plains of Africa that understand boxing more clearly than you do. ****ing imbecile.
