He was getting mugged an he didn’t even have the pride to go all out an trounce the man that wasn’t known specifically for his hands in MMA, 5+ years ago. It’s terrible. I hope when he is stoned this haunts him to tears

Very impressed with Silva's output.

He should fight Roy, was supposed to happen years ago.

 

Gave Jr. the first 3 rounds looking dreadfully awful in the process, then Jr. just predictably tanked after that losing every round handily for lack of effort.

That old saying, "fatique makes cowards of us all!" That saying goes ten fold for Chavez Jr.


Had Jr. had any sense of pride and fight, he'd have beaten Silva by way of shutout even in the sorry cardiovascular shape he was in.

 

Oh, I take it all back. I didn't watch, was just reading thru this thread and assumed it was a KO victory, somehow. Apologies.

 

Chavez Jr is disgracing the Chavez name.

 

Not only that but I feel Chavez Jr really is psychologically hurt when opponents land punches on him. The look on his face is one of "I really don't want to be here right now". He doesn't have heart tbh.. He did it in this fight and I remember the Jacobs fight where he just looks to complain about elbows/headbutts. So it's fair to weigh in 10-30lbs bigger than your opponent but an occasional scuffing elbow.. No no... Okay.. The guy is just a weight bully scam living off his dad's name.

 

Silva is 46, plus I think Jacobs has been shot for a while now.

 

Jr lack of discipline hurts my soul

Then he lost to an old ass guy in his own sport.

 

The shame in all of this is that Chavez Jr. is'nt a barometer as to the level of fighter Silva is. Off of his victory over Chavez Jr.
Silva is going to take on a halfway decent opponent next and get sparked right out of there.

 

Jacobs was a legit contender only 2 years ago against Canelo.

These guys get a few big pay days and the hunger disappears.

 

On the same night his dad fought too....
