Great match-up, almost a guaranteed barnburner and if it's at 168lbs i give JCC jr a decent chance of pulling off the win with his iron chin and power.

This is definately GGG's toughest test to date and we'll finally see if he's for real rather then hype.

    Who wins and why?

Agreed, at 160 lbs i would make GGG favourite but at 168lbs it's a 50-50 fight for me and i may even give the edge to JCC jr just because of his size, chin, heart and power.

We've seen JCC jr in the trenches and still come out fighting, we still haven't seen GGG in that same situation and he may not react well to it.

Tough fight for both men. Chavez may not be the slickest guy in the ring, but he can damn sure take a punch and give one back. I'll pay to watch this! :)

    Toss up fight!

    Nonsense fight.

They should both become relevant in their respective divisions, first.

    Absolutely.

GGG has beaten a bunch of nobodies so far who were either Light Middleweights moving up or were small Middleweights to begin with.

At 168lbs JCC jr will be a like a Cruiserweight once he steps into the ring and GGG's punches won't have the same effect as they do on others plus GGG will be getting hit by a man weighing something like 190lbs.

This is definately a 50-50 fight at 168lbs plus it looks like JCC jr has finally started to take his training and conditioning seriously so will be much better then he was against Martinez.

Chavez will miss weight by >10 lbs, Golovkin will get 100.00$, forced to fight and loose to a 35 lbs heavier opponent.

GGG is a 6-7 RD fighter tops...
Once he can't KO/Stop JCC Jr. Golovkin will crack.

Fighters from that region usually got that glass aswell.
It will/would be an interesting fight.

I think you're half right. Gloveking will still win, but won't get the KO.

Why did you highlight "GGG has beat a bunch of bums"? Is that not the truth?

GGG's best win is Matthew Macklin who was borderline Top 10 and hardly represents a great win.

His next best wins are all against fringe contenders and nobodies like Curtis Stevens, Nobuhiro Ishida, Gabriel Rosado, Kassim Ouma and Gregorz Proksa.

That's an embarrassing run of opponents for a so called P4P fighter.

Infact i would say JCC jr has better wins in his career so far against the likes of Sebastian Zbik, Marco Antonio Rubio, Andy Lee and Brian Vera.

Chavez is going to win. Chavez can really box.

Chavez would even have a decent shot at beating Ward.
