Chavez is a natural cruiserweight, will probably weight 200 lbs. at fight time, but that will not bother Golovkin. It's a shame that Golovkin can't get Quillin, Martinez, Sturm, Geale into a right with him...............now he has to go up and fight a 200 lbs. Chavez on steroids. Golovkin would out boxing Chavez, easy to hit...........

GGG will bust him up. Look what Vera did to him. Chavez will weigh 190+lbs fight night. This is the real issue. If the fight is on the west coast or in Texas GGG must stop him to win. The refs and judges will be with Jr. It is an uphill no-win fight for GGG. I am surprised he is taking it, but as all other top MWs are afaraid of him, he has no choice. Shitty circumstance for GGG.

Uhhh did u forget Martinez fought Pavlik and PTP? Two guys who are way more popular and better than anyone GGG has fought.

With Chavez popularity declining, Martinez being more popular, and this being meaningless fight, I dont see how u believe GGG/ Chavez will come close to the buys Martinez/Chavez did. I say it does 200 K if that!

If u were a real boxing fan u would hope this ppv flops. We dont need meaningless fights like this on ppv

I don't see where you get that Martinez is more popular. He's probably never matched the Stevens fight rating as the A-sider, and GGG's numbers are just going up with each fight. That said, there sure is a lot of PPVs lined up for this year so can't expect that much

Agree. This will probably do Margarito-Cotto numbers, at least, and will do wonders for the winner's profile.

I think Golovkin wins UD if this happens.

A little disappointed that Golovkin hasn't had a unification fight at middleweight before stepping up in weight but I suppose being the wrong side of 30 he may be right to be looking for the biggest payday.
