See aren't you happy I did this thread now you have another runner to be a fan of:yep
There's hype on some threads and others just to bring attention to fighters, some I don't like that much, but deserve credit. I try to be fair, as much as it pains me to do sometimes.

think you need to watch more amateur boxing mate, none of the cuban team fight like this

    Veitia trades
    Ramirez trades
    Alvarez trades
    Toledo trades
    Iglesias trades
    Cruz runs
    Savon trades
    Toirac trades

they all can get on there bike when they want to like every other boxer but Cruz is the only only who always runs and pot shots with a jab for the whole fight when having to face anyone decent

if you dont see a guy running when watching Cruz then you have no idea what running is

I love Cubans, dated 2 Cuban girls, while they eventually became annoying I don't hold that against all Cubans:blood I just really, really hate watching fighters run, instead of at least attempting to engage sometimes. I done threads on other Cuban fighters who actually fight, I like them:good

exactly, none of the other fighters on the cuban amateur squad fight like Cruz, they can if they have to but they don't go out from the opening bell with the intention of running and potshoting with the occasional jab all night

Yeah I was going to write that but I figured people might latch onto that and use it against him, he was leaving a restaurant and I think someone tried to rob him and he got shot in the top of his hip, nothing too serious thankfully.

If you like La Cruz check out another Cuban Erislandy Savon, he's a Heavyweight that I'm doing a thread on in a day or so.

Wasn't he shot like a year ago? He fully recovered and came back long ago as well if I'm correct, then went to win gold at Central Am and Carib games.

Btw Savon scored a nice 1st round knockout in WSB against Morocco last week.

He did land a couple of straight rights I think, his technique for it is quite ugly though, he seems to leave himself wide open when he throws it.

JULIO CESAR LA CRUZ – 81 KG
    Date of Birth : 11/08/1989
    Place of Birth : Camaguey
    Height : 180cm
    Residence : Camaguey
Unmatched on the world scene in recent years at Light Heavyweight, La Cruz has won the past two AIBA World Championships in spectacular style, and the Cuban team captain earned a quota for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games through his World Series of Boxing success. At 26, the Cuban is approaching his prime years, but stunningly lost a continental event when he was defeated by Albert Ramirez in the AMBC American Confederation Boxing Championships. Losing is not something La Cruz is used to, and he will be aiming for a third successive title in Doha.
