Ugh, rewound to watch the Roniel Iglesias match-up but was instantly reminded why I was more than okay with this being the one I wound up missing to field Lil Butt's phone call earlier.

Amateur legend he is, but his style was never going to be very fun in the pros. This isn't quite the snoozer the main event was but honestly César La Cruz has ruined my appetite for ugly, risk-averse, low-volume Cuban style boxing. I'm just skimming through.

Gurgen Madoyan doesn't appear to have done much to make it too entertaining himself, aside from draping his arms back over the ropes and doing a vulgar pelvic thrust at Iglesias, that got the Armenian soundly booed.

Commentator sounded surprised it was a SD.

 

Saidel Horta, Erislandy Álvarez and Arlen López have pro upside and I'd be happy to watch them again.

Lázaro Álvarez, Roniel Iglesias and Julio César La Cruz - eh, they can all rest on their amateur laurels and call it a day as far as I'm concerned.
