Nice result for Raymond "Santa" Ford. Muro hadn't been stopped before the third previously, and had managed to go the four round distance with a young Brandon Figueroa. The win was expected, but doing it that quickly is a bit of an eye-raiser.

I also wasn't expecting him to be a puncher, being just 4-0 (1) heading in. But that stoppage was also far more about speed than it was about power.

 

True. But speed and accuracy like that ensures that his progress might be worth charting from this point forward.

Martínez is moving in fluidly, attacking the body and then climbing up with hooks until reaching the chin of Rosales. Straight right counters by Rosales, who then starts drifting left and jabbing as things settle down. Martínez with big left hooks downstairs. Rosales battling him off with long uppercuts while continuously feeding out the jab with his left, but Martínez is driving in and ripping big left upper-hooks, skidding along the sternum and then planted in the bottom of the chin. Big exchange on the inside, both taking each other's shots well. Rosales with some hooks on the body. Big looping right on the rib by Martínez.
