    Round 5
Huge left hook landed by Martinez nearly dropped Cordova. Failed to capitalise on it as he was then backed onto ropes.

Martinez hurt Cordova to body in the round too

    Martinez 10-9

They announced WBC open scoring a minute into round five, but I couldn't make out Michael Buffer over the crowd. :ohno

Martínez won the round, has Córdova in retreat mode with multiple long sweeping hooks whipping into the side of his jaw. Still heavy shots being landed both ways, but you can feel Martínez taking over.

More big fat hooks by Martínez, drives his man into the ropes, pins him down, knows his prey is hurt, piles on the hooks, drops him, keeps on him and gets the finish!

    TKO6!!

Cordova down early in round 6

Referee jumps in and stops it as Cordova is staggering around not knowing where he is

    Martinez wins

His face was being ping-ponged between Martinez' fists after being viciously knocked down the hell are you talking about?!

El Rey conquers Cordova in the sixth with a wicked assault, dropping him onto the seat of his trunks and battering him around the ring with a brutal series of hooks until the official realizes that Cordova is done. Lovely finish to a spirited fight.

No man, Cordova was literally throwing combinations back. This was stopped way to early.

The official was indecisive, but Cordova was getting speed-bagged and pretty much everything was connecting following that KD.
