Even with his improvement under Roach lately, Chavez's defense isn't anywhere near good enough to not get his head ripped the **** off by Lemieux. :yep

-Duddy-Chavez Jr was closer than what the cards showed

-Duddy was limited technically, the way Ayala was against Lemieux

    -Lemieux destroyed Ayala

-Chavez Jr didn't impress against Lyell

WHY HAS RUBIO-CHAVEZ Jr NEVER HAPPENED? Rubio could have been a good name to bank on for Junior; a tough, ranked Mexican name. :-(

Lemieux will dominate and drop Rubio, something Chavez Jr always felt he could never do. Otherwise we would have seen Rubio-Chavez Jr in a big peso Mexican showdown. Tonight, tomorrow, in 6 months, Lemieux beats Junior. :yep

David by a quick KO, Junior is improving but I cant see him either staying outside & boxing him at range for the distance or being able to take his punches in close. I've been watching Lemieux for a while now & think he's gonna be something special.

I thought Lemiuex was fighting Matthew Hatton soon....
    Same result there as well.

no it was not close, that's the biggest crock of **** ever :rofl:rofl:rofl
    i gave duddy one, maybe...maybeeee 2 rounds

and why would chavez vs rubio even be on the radar, rubio hasn't had a name in years !!!
not that chavez is fighting quality guys, but duddy is a notch above rubio, and everyone on davids resume....that's a fact

seriously, the fact that you're even trying to argue that duddy aint a good name on chavez's resume clearly shows a ****en agenda......

I think I will reserve my judgment on Lemeiux for now until we see how he deals with Rubio. I still think I'd like to see him in with someone who has a better resume again before being so sure.

Someone like Guerrero or Manfredo Jr or even N'kam or Golovkin or Macklin.
They would be a better test then Rubio IMO.

I never said Duddy wasn't a good name on Chavez' resume... but I certainly think Rubio would have been a bigger threat to Junior than Duddy was. Look at their styles. And Rubio packs a decent punch, heavier than Duddy's.

Junior's been fighting bums, that's a fact. Duddy was fight #40 something. David will have a better resume by fight #30. :D

Your boy mentions Sylvester as a championship fight his fans want to see (along with Cotto/Margo lol), I think he's being a little too ambitious here... Junior dwarfs Sylvester by 4.5 inches. :yep

Yeah they would. But N'Jikam & GGG are caught up in the WBA mess, so scratch those two for the next year or so. Macklin is fighting Wright but will be avail later in the year, Guerrero is a prospect HBO wouldn't match against Lemieux, and Manfredo Jr is injured / won't be avail until the summer.

It'll indeed be interesting to see who Lemieux fights between Rubio and a WBC title shot.

yeah, comparing resumes of a 3 time canadian amateur champ vs a kid that just turned pro with no amateur career....nice one

say what you want about what rubio "use" to be, the point is duddy was a better opponent.....so how can you say david sparks jr easy ????

to me, that's just fanboy talk...you havn't even given a legit reason as to why you think that...but of course, we all know already what your agenda is....

So you can't honestly think of a reason why David sparks Junior? (I still don't see where I suggested it'd be a walk in the park for him)

JCC Jr's workrate isn't great by any mean, and he doesn't have the pop to keep David at bay. David would try to bully Chavez Jr into his inside game, and unless Junior gets on his bike and uses variations in movement (i.e. not always the same escape route vs given punches), David's athleticism secures the gameplan. Even if Chavez Jr plays ring position smartly, David or Russ would see a trend and Junior would eventually end up backed up in a corner or against the ropes in the late rounds. Chavez Jr isn't a tough guy per say, you'd have to be ignorant to think he can eat David's power shots all night.

So much for my agenda... what exactly here makes me a fanboy? I'm a big Lemieux fan, but I'm not one to say Lemieux floors him in the 1st round.
