I think they are more concern with losing his "0". He should just say to his people to let him fight a top ten or five contender to see if he sinks or swims period. Cintron would be too much for him though.
He also had no amatuer background. I'm not making excuses for him, but the kid is learning on the fly. Certainly cant help to have his father's legacy either.
Ya, it's true, guy looks like **** (well a little better then ****), but he doesn't seem to have natural talent. He is still young, I believe 22, so I say 3 year's until we see what he is really made of.
He might be a slight level up from Ronald Hearns. Definitely not a future title holder imo, unless he improves A LOT.
I don't think he's at Angulo's level. Angulo isn't anything special, but he's still beaten a couple decent LMWs. I think JCC Jr is around Duddy's level, but he's really young, so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and say he has quite a bit of room to improve.
He hasn't done anything to garner respect from boxing fans. He's been fighting nobodies for years now. He truly needs to step it up.
Chavez Jr. is as slow as a turtle with a broken leg. The guy sucks big time. When he fought Vanda he may have realized he will never be anywhere near the top, and he said he felt disappointed. I guess his father shampooed his brain once more after the fight. He is there just because his father wants him to be there.
Worst thing he can possibly do he is doing. Having his fights on PPV. He should be fighting on ESPN or Versus and letting boxing fans see him for free. Good or bad its free and he'll get good exposure to boxing fan. Having his fights on nothing but PPV won't help his image and fan base. Claiming to get your feet wet on PPV while other boxers are working their way up is what makes people hate Jr.
