    Julio Ceaser Chavez Jr.
Would Pound Gomez to The Body, Alfonso's lack of Power
Will Ultimatly be His Downfall against Any Top Contender. IMO

Tho I do belive That is A fight JCC II Needs at this stage in his Boxing.
Alfonso Gomez has heart will not quit.
    A great test.

    let's make it happen!

Good fight. I'm not sure who takes it, but Gomez is the right speed for Jr right now. At least it would be a fight against someone we've heard of.

Before the Cotto fight I've said: Gomez UD.

Jr. just can't fight on the backpedal and has NO defense. 0. ZERO. Of course, after Saturday's beatdown, I doubt Gomez will be the same fighter again (that's why I think NOW Arum will put down serious money to make this fight) - but when he last stepped in the ring before Saturday, he was a decent fighter slowly getting better and better, and already far more experienced than Jr.

I rarely change my predictions after fights unless someone shows improvements or major flaws. Gomez never had a chance to get in the fight vs. Cotto, was dominated, was outclassed, but so was Carlos Quintana, so the Cotto fight does not change my prediction.

Jr. shows more flaws in his game than any other so-called hot prospect today and Gomez is a decent BOXER enough to capitalize on them. Cotto just outbombed, outskilled, outpowered him. But no way in hell Jr. can do the same.

At 147, a not too damaged Gomez UDs Jr. IMO.

For the sake of boxing, I hope and think Jr. does. Fingers crossed.

It would be great for both. A great test to see how Jr. is improving and if Gomez wins, more lucrative paydays and a good name on his resume. I believe Jr. would break him down and he would get a late stoppage.
