Chavez gets pissed off at Merchant for saying De La Hoya made him quit.

What ever happened to that interpreter? He must be retired.

    Loved his voice.

He's saying that he simply did not quit. He just repeated that his corner stopped the fight, and that he didn't. He got mad at the translator, and the translator was simply explaining what Merchant meant and that he himself was only translating.

He did quit, listen to what happened in the corner. Stupid for anyone to say otherwise. Not that I hold it against his legacy in anyway. Thats like saying Ortiz didn't quit against Maidana.

shouldn't even have been in the ring. what was he 36? past his prime fighting a much younger, bigger, stronger, faster, skilled fighter ranked the p4p #1. no way can anyone hold that quit job against him. he was actually doing well up to the stoppage and gave Oscar one of his toughest fights back then.
