Can anyone give us an accurate translation of what JCC says right after the translator dropped the 'quit' word? Was JCC swearing at the translator and/or Merchant?

 

"I never quit, let go of me, let go; I didn't quit it, was my corner who stopped the fight." He said something else but his swollen lip and the commotion makes it unclear.

 

Ahh, so he didn't go like 'I didn't quit you ****in ******' or something! Thanks a lot, man, I was always wondering about what his exact words were. :good

 

I cant for the life of me understand how Julio is held in such contempt by you lot here at ESB.

Hes a fighter. Give him some respect.I enjoyd watching him go to work back in the day. An old dog got taken out by an up and comer .....same story has been replayed by many over the years.Cut the old warrior some slck is all I am saying.

 

It's more manly to admit your loss or mistake, than to pretend that's not the case. No matter how brave and tough Chavez was in his prime, the fact that the fight was stopped was clearly his decision, not his corner's or anyone else's, so it was pretentious on his part to claim that wasn't the case. I think that this is what people have a problem with on this one. No disrespect to Chavez, he was a fierce warrior, but that's my opinion.

 

Chavez is a known quitter and crybaby. Lol. This is the best mexicant figher. Just a front-runner with a hard head. He's lucky he never had to fight Mosley, Trinidad, Quartey, or Cotto. They would've exposed him too.

it didn't prove much saying bull**** to Larry Merchant. Larry was just stating the fact and asking. Chavez made many guys quit so it was no big deal to quit. Any man will quit if beaten up badly. I don't think quitting is a big deal. Sometimes a fighter has to when the corner is too brave.

 

Thats why you guys were okay with being slaves. It was not until society saw,alavery as morally wrong until things changed, not slaves retaking their freedom. Black always mentally break when evenly matched and somehow cant over power their opponent.

He didn't have to pass the torch so soon though, he gave it up more or less. DLH saw him getting out of a limo, coked out of his gills with two hookers and wearing a fur coat at 5 am when they were both staying at the same hotel and both supposed to be training for the fight. He did that **** training against Whitaker too.

Rumor has it that JCC got in waaay too tight with the Mexican drug cartels and got into some serious trouble over it eventually. I'm surprised he's alive, but I guess when you're JCC you get some leeway.
